APO FOGGIA SOC. COOP.

The APO FOGGIA, recognized as a Producers' Organization, carries out its activity mainly within the province of Foggia and has always carried out all its activities, aimed at maintaining the requirements prescribed by the Community legislation, in relation to the recognition obtained; aims in general, the aim of adapting the production and the offer by the 1,700 producers who are members, to the needs of the market and in particular, to concentrate, encourage, enhance and protect the production of olives and olive oil of the Captained..

The APO FOGGIA aims in general to market extra virgin quality oil and to certify it in accordance with the UNIEN ISO 22005:08 standard "Supply chain traceability"; it also aims to direct the production and supply by the producers who are members towards organic and integrated cultivation.

The APO FOGGIA has been CSQA certified since 31/03/2016 in accordance with the UNIEN ISO 22005:08 standard "Traceability in the agri-food supply chains"; as responsible organization for the purposes of traceability for bulk and packaged oil delivered by members and marketed by APO FOGGIA.

In accordance with its nature as an organization of olive growers, having joined the AOP, SCARL National Olive Growers Consortium, it also carries out the following activities:

• ensure the planning of the members' production and its adaptation to demand, both from a quantitative and qualitative point of view;

• concentrate the offer and market directly the members' production;

• participate in the management of market crises;

• reduce production costs and stabilize production prices;

• promote cultivation practices and production techniques that respect the environment, in order to improve the quality of production and food hygiene, to protect the quality of water, soil and the landscape and promote biodiversity, as well as favor traceability processes ;

• ensure the transparency and regularity of economic relations with the associates in determining the selling prices of the products;

• adopt innovative technologies;

• provide members with assistance for the exercise of a rational and economic activity in the olive production sector, also through the implementation of common services;

• improve the professional, economic, social and cultural conditions of members and operators in the olive sector;

• orientate the members' production in view of consumer demand, both from a qualitative and quantitative point of view;

• enhance and promote the products.

In summary, in A.P.O. FOGGIA, carries out a set of activities and initiatives aimed at both the protection of the interests of its members and the protection of final consumers.
